Does anyone know what this decal on the seatstay was saying?



ALxxA ALUMINUM - thats what I am able to read.

This one should be "Designed and race proven in Marin county", right?

This would be original spec, as seen in the catalogue



All DX, except the STI, which was XT. silver rims. Skinwalls. I really like the looks a lot.

But there is also this:


Black rims. I like that even more! (dont like the red decals thou)

I don't like the DX low profile brakes. And I don't like the STI in this case. So I will go for BR-M732 brakes, Thumbies and all XT. Maybe I will try the Maguras as long as I waiting for the 732's.
Not sure about the brake levers yet. Ritchey?

I have a set of PR Smokes incoming, XT wheelset with dark rims is on stash, as are all the XT parts. So just missing the two pairs of brakes for a ridable version.
Just contacted Gil for a set of decals, we will see what he has.

Ohh, I can't wait!

I bought one of these frames last year in similar condition to yours many a sunday afternoon was spent sanding and polishing and has come up a treat as i'm sure yours will too. Gil has the stickers but check the measurements before you buy bud as they can be slightly different.
