I did try to offer to the person who had the second highest bid but Ebay wanted to go the unpaid item strike route for the messer, just wondering if breaking the bike may be an option if people might be interested in buying the deore dx stuff....if it has any real value that is...Thanks...Lewis...

Breaking the bike would likely net you more than the original sale price. In fact, guaranteed it would. But weigh up the hassle of stripping it, posting it etc. Before you go that route. It all takes time.
