Marin Nail Trail 94/95 All Original Survivor

Retro Newbie
Hi all, I've been lucky enough to pick up a lovely Marin Nail Trail with all original STX parts, original seat, tyres, Marin Lite brakes... even the tyres are the original Marin Quake tyres!

Just that seat tube clip that looks third party!

It's a bit dirty and unloved now but when I'm finished with it it'll shine like a diamond.. thats if I decide to do the work I bringing it back to life.

Ultimately, I'm doing it up to sell and fund some nice parts for my Bobcat Trail (same year). But am I better off breaking it up into parts to sell or doing it up and getting it looking good to sell the whole bike?

Does anyone know what it would be worth once completed if I put the work in?

If you prefer steel frames, then its obvious what you are going to do with it.
However, id keep it and get what you can for the bobcat.
My 2p is that you have a tidy aluminium bike there that sadly, may fetch a paltry £60. That's no quote, just a feel i have for things lately. Not many people will travel to collect.

Thanks @marc two tone . I've started stripping it now and I don't think its going back together!

I thought the Nail Trail looked like a huge laser cannon especially compared to relatively petite steel frames.

It's a heck of a lot lighter, too. I'm surprised more people wouldn't be after something like that.

No problemo though. Looks like the little Bobcat is getting some goodies!
