ive got a 98 mv and cant decide if I should change the forks to bomber mx comps and fit a shorter stem I have in the shed or leave the original forks and stem on it. I know its down to personal taste but any sugestions would be good

Having tried several different lengths of travel and types of travel (air v's elastomer) on my MVpro from 1999, I have found that 80mm travel suits the geometry and feel better, plus I chose air SID's to match my DT air rear shock. The balance and difference in performance is amazing. I really struggled to find the right balance of parts with it, but I'm very happy with the current set up.

I ended up putting 100mm shocks on yesterday and it feels a lot nicer to ride now
