Withdrawn Marin MTB frame

MarinMartin

Marin Fan
Hi everyone. Without making a song and dance about it, my Marin Rift Zone is no more :(. Which leaves me with no rideable Marins in my stable and as you probably know, Marin bikes are the reason I have such a passion for cycling. I stripped one of my old bikes recently to upgrade it which has left me with some nice Deore 27 speed stuff and a few parts that are just screaming out to be built up instead of seeing it wasting away in a drawer. So I'm wondering if there are any cheap Marin frames out there that I could use to build up a nice little bike for myself.

Specs I need are

19-20" frame

Disc compatible

Preferably a hardtail. I absolutely love full sus Marins but with my luck lately I want to keep things simple so I don't have to worry about rebuilding rear shocks, linkages etc

Maximum budget of £100.

It's probably a long shot but does anyone have anything that might help me get another Marin in the stable. Please note as I am in the depths of Cornwall I'm thinking postage will be needed.

Thanks all.

I might be able to help. I'll measure up to confirm size. Frame is a mount vision pro and is in vgc.

Ok, so some pics as promised. Frame measures 19 inches c2t. It only has a few marks here and there, very tidy overall. The only thing to report is that there is a tiny bit of play somewhere in the linkage. I've not had a chance to investigate where but it is very minor.

Happy to sell as frame, as I bought with the intention of fettling and letting my son have it to replace his current bike that he's outgrown, but it's too big and I've got a replacement for that idea now.

Hi Ishaw.

Sorry I should have mentioned I'm ideally looking for a hardtail. I love Marin full sussers, my Rift Zone made the 24hr races so much nicer, but I've not had much luck with them and I'm thinking a hardtail will make things simpler, no bushings, linkages or rear shocks to worry about replacing/rebuilding. I've got my Giant Trance (the bike I'm rebuilding for my friend's memorial ride) to fulfil the full sussed side of the fleet and I'm just thinking a hardtail to throw about my local trails. I'm not going to be well enough to do Mayhem this year so don't need an amazing bike, I just want to build something for a bit of fun.

Thank you though. Appreciate the offer.
