Ay up,

I have an old Marin frame I want to rehome, but I kind of need to know what it is first? Its 1 1/8" head tube, replaceable dropout, canti bridge, polished frame, stamped '56' inside both dropouts, the other dropout is stamped 'TA47010987'

Any information appreciated - Its not for sale at the mo, I aint fishing, just curious like!

P'raps, I only assumed Marin as it came with Marin forks, seatpost QR, stem and stickers, may not be though.

dropouts and toptube cabelguides indicate its not a marin.
and serial and general look, certainly not a 90's Marin
I think you could consider it a generic frame :?:

it does look very very similar to this nail trail also, same factory perhaps

sorry knicked the pic from someone here

I think the Nail Trial looks to be made same place as the original Orange Alu bikes, i.e. A-Pro as it uses by the looks of it the same mech hanger that slot in to the frame and is attached by 3 screws. Though that is from a distance of a blurred picture.

Though if memory serves me right, 1995 Nail Trail was Fairly build and started FM5 (5 = 1995) M = Nail trail for that year, F = Fairly.

You woun't have the serial of the Nail trail ?
