OK - I might be slightly overplaying the “holy grail” line, but the stem bolt on the 1995 Marin Range - including the Team Titanium - is an impossible to find M7 x 100mm in titanium to replace the steel original version.
In my enthusiasm I’ve had some made in Grade 5 titanium.
As well as saving you a massive 10g - it will last more than a lifetime and never rust.
Funnily enough; Marin did do a titanium stem bolt but it was a M8 rather than the rarer M7 and doesn’t fit Marin stems as they are all M7 from 1992 up to 1995 at least. Marin headsets went to threadless in 1996.
Couldn’t make it up.
I’m looking for £15 delivered. You won’t find them anywhere else.
Will fit all 1995 equivalent stem designs with the flat cap;
Team Titanium
Team Marin
Pine Mountain
Eldridge Grade
Bear Valley SE
Indian Fire Trail
Rocky Ridge
Nail Trail
Titanium FRS
Team FRS
Mail Trail FRS
Note some of the 1995 Marin range have the earlier angled stem cap. I don’t know whether these will fit. The bolt in those could be shorter. Fits the flat cap type as pictured.
