Im after some help trying to get a seat post clamp bolt for my Marin Bear Valley from 1993. At the moment I'm not fussed whether or not it's an original part, I just need the seat tube to stay put!
The external seat tubing has a diameter of 28.6mm. The length of frame where the bolt clamps is 34mm.
There is a notch for a suitable bolt on the left hand side.

Any help appreciated (especially if you have one you can sell me!)

I thought 93 had a drilled marin qr on? Rather than a binder bolt.
This is indeed how it looks on other pics I've seen on the Web. So is the 'notch' in the left hand hole, pictured, irrelevant in this case?

I think you're right and I'm being daft as a binder bolt wouldn't sit in a flanged housing like this, would it..

The hole drilled handle qr don't have a notch on the nut side. They are also tbh, not the best qr as they have a pretty poor cam arrangement.

I think the hole is too small for a binder bolt. From memory the skewers for that year is 6mm. A m6 nut and bolt and 2 washers would be a good ghetto fix till you find a qr. Or one of those alluminium mut cover thingy binders....onipax thingys.

Im happy to see if i still have a marin one, but im pretty sure they all went. Im sure somebody will have one.

That's perfect for now. Thank you @Tootyred. If you do happen to come across a Marin QR that you're willing to part with, let me know :)
