Right im after what seams like a small miracle, ive just been given a rather tatty b17, the bikes had a hard life n im just thinking of giving it a quick lick of paint n using it for just generally riding about on,

Problem is at some point in its life its had 1 brake boss snapped off  so my only option is to run a disk on the back, but as its a 1998 (white n red frame)

its got the non is disk mounts
so i will need one of these

Hence needing a miracle,

As the bikes worth fook all im not willing to buy another swing arm so i was wondering has any1 made their own disk mount?
m if so have you got any pics/measurements?

Cheers jay

i have made a couple of them but i never wrote anything down , i just made them to fit

i could make another one but i'd need you'd rear swing arm here to do so

i might have one of them c2 halfs :? i'll nip out for a look :D

(i collect c2 bit's , it's a hobby)

i've just figured this out..............

some of the b17's have m10 holes , so a set of m10 bosses cut down flat below where the spanner grips threadlocked into the holes and then a c2 number 9 74mm mount will bolt straight onto the frame for a 165mm disc.....

and the frames with the m5 holes , the number 9 half will bolt straight on

so after all that i did'nt need to make a big mount

i have a number 9 half and can show you how to modify the bosses (i'm sure i've got pictures of the ones i did on my old b17) then talk you through how to fit them

EDIT...... arent all post mount brakes 74mm ? if so it's just the bosses you need if theres m10 holes in your frame

yhpm ;)
