I'm going to dig this one up from a few months ago but its the most recent B-17 build I've seen. Great looking bike by the way! Anyway I've got one of these frames complete with forks sat around waiting for some love and I've decided that now is the time. I don't have the frame to look at until the weekend so I have a couple questions.
I've done a bunch of research and a lot of folks seem to suggest that the disc brake mounts are non-standard by today's standards. I can see you have some sort of adaptor plate but it doesnt look like the Marin one; did you make this, were you lucky enough to get this with the frame itself or is something you can point me to getting?
Also did you run into any other issues? How does it run with the new rear shock (I think mine may have the dreaded shockworks)

Added: Having done some rummaging over the weekend, I have remembered why the project got shelved in the first place. It turns out its the 17.5" frame which is no good to me at 6'6. I suppose I could still build it up as a hack bike or one for the missus.

Hi only trouble I had apart from rear disc mount was the rear shock bushes had to order them from a specialist website! But other than that bike has been awesome and I have slightly adapted rear disc mount! Although it did come with the bike I am an aluminium welder fabricator by trade so I can adapt it easily or possibly make one if needed? I know Marin made an official one that adapted to Hope 1's as detailed on post #3 here -> http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=178975
but this adapter is likely to be about as easy to find as hens teeth or horse feathers and then there is the added complication of getting the right setup to fit it.

Just a specialist mtb website can't remember what one but you just give them your sizes and they either match or make bespoke ones for you
