Marin 1995 Team Titanium Penrith - Drop Out Weirdness

I can’t remember them having holes in the drop outs. Any ideas why anyone would do this. !!??

I agree. It is a bargain although no idea what the deal is with the dropouts.

As you know I’m not knowledgeable on marin.

But to me they do look factory as they are on both sides and in identical places.

If it wasn’t 3 hours away I’d be buying that as my project pile is almost down to 1 pending and I bet that would clean up beautifully

Bugger, I was only over in Morecambe yesterday collecting a bike and could have dropped by Penrith and picked that up too!

I’m not convinced it’s a Marin. The geometry and drop outs aren’t right.

The 95 had butted head tube - this one looks like it’s shimmed.

If it is a Marin; it’s not a 95 and yet the decals and Headbadge are original

I honestly can’t tell. It’s not sat right but the forks are compressed.

Not convinced it’s a Marin.

With a bit of sleuthing; think this is a 92 or 93 that’s been bead blasted for a 95 finish with replacement decals.
