Hey OP I got a pair of 2001 X Vert E's

perfect working order, uncut steerer. They've undergone a couple of resprays, most recent respray wasn't a very good one but like I said these things are literally perfect mechanically. Two former owners, including myself - serviced about every 100 hours of riding or so for the last two years, and before that they were sat in my mates bedroom, on his wall, for about 4 years and before that agin serviced every 100 hours or so.

I'll try and add a picture of them in there most recent repsray colour, rubberised matt black (don't ask). Tell me what you think!

Heres another one showing the TPC damping control dial. The X Vert E's look just like the SC but they're not? Confusing choices of design by Manitou.
