I think it's a fair price what he is asking for it
I've paid my manitou DH in 1996 with a manitou EFC dh fork arbout €2500 euro's
They are mutch rare than the usual FS version
the DH version had 2cm more suspension in the back with a differnt rocker than the FS and a higer BB height
and mutch mutch rare than an marin frs
Id you run this Manitou frame with headsetreducers tot 1 1/8" you will also reduce the chance of craking headset tube
mine DH is without cranking headset tube and I rode it a lot back into those day's
I ride it mostely for xc/trailriding sometime's a local dh race back in the pak

I'd love a Manitou FS DH like this frame but the 'cracking' puts me off. Assuming its only if one rides it hard though right? I've got modern bikes for that so I'd just use this gently if I find a complete bike one day..advice form Manitou FS and FS DH owners please. Currently I have a few Marin FRS' as they're stronger but it'd be nice to add it's blood brother and sister to the collection. Thanks
