Early Manitou steerers were press fitted into the alloy crown so youll have to get a crown with a longer steerer im afraid

That's not actually correct. Bradbury and Manitou One forks originally came with a steerer that bolted into the crown. Only later models were pressed in.

The crown/steerer and fork brace on these are all later additions.
