I'd be up for one of their custom sets for my Funk forks (same price as the others) ......shout if you are going to do it and I'll PM you the details of what i need. cheers Ant

Elastomers

Hi if I can join in to then a set of medium's for a manitou 1 fork please

It's been mentioned already but I think the total amount may bring the order into the interest of the customs lot. I've been lucky recently ordering bits from abroad but nothing over the amount of £120. Fingers crossed we may slip under their radar ;)

Cheers James

Regretfully, I'm bowing out here chaps - apologies for any inconvenience, like.....

Finally picked up some some F7 forks to go on my ''roadie'' P7, the RC-35s which I originally wanted to use for it will be then moved on to my 'Prestige' and the Manitou's will be thus swiftly given their P45 :D

(The Manitou 2's will be for sale in a couple of weeks as well...)

:D

No probs Dossa... have removed you from the list...

Best discount I have secured is 10% for orders of 5 sets or more...

By my reckoning that should make the rough cost of a set of M1 mediums

£27 Price of elastomers from states (inc discount)

£3 Share of Post to get to UK.

£2 to get them posted from me to you.

Total £32

If we ordered on our own, this order would be £40...

I say, we take a chance on the customs charges and deal with them should they hit... After all the collective cost can't be anymore than if we ordered individually.

I will close the order book as now (mossa removed) and get the final quote from the States... When that's done we can start collating the cash!

Sorry, forgot to say...

added woolardjt... Manitou 1's (med)

So if we ordered 9 sets at roughly $50 a set, what would the potential customs exposure be...?

I can see this as a potential showstopper, as if one set is likely to get through under the radar, nine sets won't and it may make this venture unviable, if we get hit for the fee...

I would really like to learn how to produce these in the UK! :D :D

Ringo.....when i bought some recently the customs value on them was quoted by the seller as $5. .....and to be honest....thats probably how much they are worth in terms of raw materials. Any chance you could ask the seller what he would intend to declare on the whole lot.

Sneaker....as soon as I find my long allan key I'll get the measurments for the Funks.

Hi again,

I sent in a PM regarding payment, but you may have missed it. Just re confirming my 'order' here for the hard M1s. Nearly got a full bag of bits ready for the 91 Zaskar rebuild. These elastomers will be the final parts needed

I've ordered parts from the US before and had the sender declare it as as a gift and it goes straight thru Customs no probs. And seeing at it's everyones birthday soon.......
