Hi......the shim is just a split metal collar....hopefully you can see in the pics below. If you want to replace the steerer you just undo the bolts and knock it out as you would normally. I would let just the crown go without the steerer tube if you were interested.


BTW wasn't an Orange elite 1 1/4" headset

Humm, if by any chance its a 1 1/8th 'hole' with 1 inch reducer I'm interested pending price negs. If its a 1 1/4 il hold off for now. Hoping to source one from the land of the Maple but would like a back-up 1inch too.

If its a 1 inch Mani 1 crown in decent cond, I still want it subject to price negs or even if its a 1 1/8th always like a back-up

Still looking for a Mani 1 crown with 1 inch steerer spec or 1 1/8th with a reducer fitted. Will consider 1in whole forks in any condition BUT I'm only really after the steerer.

If it will work I have a manitou 4 crown/steerer. 1" threaded about 138mm long.

I have it covered now but a Mani1 crown allows DIY custom steerer change
