Making the olde serviceable & …way more fun!

NWisGooderest!

Dirt Disciple
Was gifted an ABM Breezer with Koski fork with a partial build. It was pretty trashed but known the original owner since 1990.
ABM was a vender for a mnt tandem for a shop I used to work with so very much knew their crew. Had an M16 - so many bikes ago…
Built it up as a 3 speed with XC-Pro frt d & thumb (w/ Alfine tensioner).
All sorts of original parts:
Magura levers, original Mavic mnt hubs (free wheel), XC-Pro cantis, Hite Rite, XT crank & headset, Used a new Velo Orange stem to pop up the bar.
A bike project is only worthwhile if you’re pumped to ride it all the time (tool, not a trophy mindset).
With the Wald basket I dubbed it the bakery bike (with the Nice Lite! For safety).
Not original spec, but certainly an original!
Plus is I had dinner w/ Joe Breeze in Taipei a while back and thought it was a hoot.

Very cool build and by god those welds are FAT
Thanks.
I have a Ventana El Habanero that I bought back in 96 that I dolling up (slow project).
Those big weld done by Sherwood were coined “electric sex welds”.
Mine is powdercoat blue, yellow decals with a silver rear end.
My Turner Sultan 29”-er / DW link are also “big” but doubt have the same pop.
Both have older geometries so they are now “unridable” (as the kids say….).
