Magura rim brakes - 1994??

I have started on my most recent project, a 1995 Clockwork, and my question is this:

Are Magure hydraulic rim brakes appropriate for this build? Were they out at this time? Or are they later in the 90's???

Since returning properly to riding I have discoverd the joy of magura's. Best brakes I have ever owned. Think it would have to be a decent disc brakes to beat em. Only problem I have found is the pads glaze over after a while but nothing 5 seconds rubbing on some sandpaper dosent fix. Thats with standard magura black pads sure some of the other options would work even better.
