Pulled these off a wreck of a Saracen I got hold of, after cleaning down i'm amazed they work and work well! Any ideas on model? I did wonder if they might be the 1st ones they ever released? Excuse the cracked out tyre, its going to be binned shortly!

OEM kit on early quality saracens

Magura Hydro stops

Also Used by Pace on their RC100’s

Cheees! Are there any earlier Maguras than these? Saracen was stock 1991 bike but had a crack running 2/3 down the headtube so salvaged the bits off it.

To be honest these are the earliest main stream versions

I’m sure there were earlier versions made with motorcycle parts etc but they will be non existent and rare as, yours are desirable for very late 80’s early 90’s builds

Cheers! A good find then, guý was throwing his saracen away... full LX groupset, RS Mag30s etc! Atm i've built most of them into a marin rockyridge frame ive restored but not sure if i'll keep it as it is. Think i'll replace all the mounting hardware bolts for new shiney stainless and maybe rattlecan black over the calipers (masking where needed) to get them looking box fresh. In terms of magura pads, do they just pull out and are their diffo fitments or all all magura pads plug and play? These are green compound, whatever that means.

Magura pads on HS 11/22 and HS 33 just pull off and tons on ebay

not 100% sure on the colours but some are for Trials / XC / Wet conditions and the like -Some one will be along to fill in the blanks

I put Yellow trials on a set a few years back and they worked really well but jesus did they squeal on a steep decent - totally wrong pad for real braking under load

Yes, Hydro Stops, they dont look in too bad a condition, i would be tempted to just touch up any marks instead of painting them.

I would also be interested if you do decide to sell them on.

Cheers Mark, on second thoughts I must be mad wanting to repaint them. So I'll tidy up the bolts with some steel wool and leave them at that. For now hanging onto them, want to try and find a frame that will suit the cabling as nice to waste chunky brake hangers and bridges. Mad how much post flex you get without the booster plates that were clearly added on later models.

These came with boosters too, a pic of a set of mine with a booster for reference :)

Ahh right, so mine maybe incomplete? So the caliper clamps/mounts on mine have tongues that go down the back and rest against the seat stays/fork legs, assuming yours have these too? I presume I can use standard style boosters for now, until I hunt some of these standard boosters down (more chance of getting hit by asteroid) haha.
