I'm a bit surprised that ParkPre is still there although it's a bit pricey. Someone seems to be looking at it every time I walk by. The purple anodized Critical Racing brakes are pretty rad.
It made my day seeing these two Brodie bikes locked up outside MEC. I went onto MEC and borrowed a stapler and put a note on the Expresso handlebar saying "if you ever sell this gorgeous bike, I'd cherish it"
An hour after putting the note on the bike, he called and said it was weird I did that because he was considering selling it for a road bike. We spent a couple days and a few texts back and forth, and now it's mine . He is the original owner, bought it in 1994, it hasn't had much use. He ordered/bought it with ti Rock shox but replaced them. He's replaced the hubs, brakes, pedals. But it still has original rims, seat and chain bars etc. I'm pretty chuffed
