MacRetro Strava

Wheect'd the road bike out today for a spin, was feeling pretty good to so decided to try a couple segements on a local ride. Came back and uploaded my Garmin to find a few PR's and I reckon I could have dug a wee bit deeper. Two in particular were nice as I've ridden them( as well as a load of other folks) quite a few times, could possibly even have dug a bit deeper, which would have helped. I'm 3 seconds behind a KOM and on one of the bigger climbs were ZZ handed me my hat I got to within 4 seconds! Bittersweet indeed, I reckon the bug has bitten again, both these skulls will be mine

I did got to the velodrome last night to find my phone had ran out of juice so no strava for me, I think I did almost an hour with a 5 minute break. lost count of laps after the first few :) The main pack were lapping me every lap and a half though, I felt really pleased when I started catching them only to realise they were on a slow lap.

If it's any consolation, you'd hand my arse to me on a plate if I tried it now.

Its none, no, none at all. I must crush the interlauping, bitch slapping, riding 'guest' to dust :p

I think thats your German side coming out there K, got to watch that efficient competative side, very un Scots

Just logged in for the first time in weeks, YUK.
What's up with the new layout? Why can't people just leave things alone!

Re:

Perusing my Strava details it seems in the first 6 months of this year I've ridden more than I had last year and the year before! And I'm only 500 odd k from topping my 2011 total. I've also tonight finally excised the demon that was ZZ beating me in my own back yard and beat him up one of my local hills, he'll need to find another 28 seconds next time :p Happy days!

Looks like you're peaking at the right time K, be interesting to see how you and Radek go next week at 10UTB. I'm already assuming I'll be a distant 3rd :)

Re:

Good ride tonight. Two PRs including a KOM, my first proper one, ie not on one of my segments.

Looked at taking on Rapha Rising, then realised the amount if climbing in 9 days is about my current year to date total! Maybe next year.

shaved 2 minutes off my commute to work time, down from 57 to 55mins.

really liking the wee garmin edge 200 i bought, simple and works a treat, much better than the phone app.

thanks to clubby and ZZ for their input on options for the gps.
