Any one of you guys have a 1 inch quill stem (silver), I will have a flexstem up for sale if the pace fits the Orange.

I have one spare, it's short with a fair bit of rise (15 degree i think), has the canti stop hole in it (Tioga styleeee)

Trade for the cranks if you like

I was out on my little local route the other night and it was deadly. Its got so overgrown through lack of use you just could not see the roots.

Funny thing happened around sunset- bloke out for a strol with his big dog, me filling in a few washed out bits on my self built berm with my folding spade

BLOKE'what you doing lad- its a footpath you know, not supposed to be here on a bike'

ME 'just repairing the path, its in a state'

BLOKE 'well if you wernt tearing it up on them fancy bikes wouldn't need doing'

ME 'hardly mate, no one but me rides up here and thats only once every few weeks'

BLOKE ' Bloody bikes making a mess of the footpaths everywhere'

Just then his dog squats down and does a huge steaming shit right in the middle of the path. Bloke just looks at it.

ME 'You going to clean that up then?'

BLOKE ' Erm' Looks around

BLOKE ' come on Towser, away'

Looks like they had fun too.

Breaking myself in a bit at a time- had a few hours in Thrunton with toons last week on the modern and have ventured up into the woods a few times to do some trail repairs. Have not tried riding retro rigids yet. Its Ok when riding but a little sore next morning. Going to start riding to work again on Thursday to try and get some fitness back for BDW. I've put on a stone in the six weeks off the bike :shock:
