MacRetro chat and rides thread

Sorry to hear about the job Gazz, but hey, working for a living is over rated anyway. Enjoy your freedom and time with the family before the 9-5 grind rears its ugly head again in the near future.

Chin up old fruit.

Si
(can I take the piss yet? )

Gaz, in the financial world Debt management has got to be a growth area at the moment. Could your qualifications and experience slot into such an area. :?

Also if you've got the personality for it, care work/health care always seem to be looking for folk. Usually the route I take when unemployment occurs. Maybe go back to Nursing myself one day if I find myself needing a new career path.

Try some volunteer work to keep your mind active, also looks good on a CV

Hi Guys

gazz, mate, what can I say........really gutted for you.
I know you'll be fine and if there is anything at all I can do or help you out with, you know just to call.
I agree with Velo, a july ride in gazz's neck of the woods sounds good. I will be there, just tell me when. (I really like jaffa cakes) :D
Take care all
Jamie

cheers lads and some time with the lass and lads will be very cool adree with you Dr- I'm off to the sun next weekend so life isn't to bad but it would be cool to get together in july- Arran was muted as a poss destination and I could manage that no prob. ? If you are coming down jamie then you can bed down at mine the night before, let you enjoy the ride.

Velo Like your suggestions- help cause the problems and then help fix 'em and then back to causing it- nice circle of employment whoohahaha!

Gaz - don't know what to say, I feel for you mate, hope it doesn't last too long.

Make sure you go to citizens advice so you know all the options open to you on redundancy, there is a lot you can claim for that they don't tell you about. Happened to me a few years back and I lost out on a few extra k because of time limits on the claims.

I'm up for a bit of Ayrshire and the arran runs always sounded good.
