Well in The Ken, looks like he made it round the etape today. Given how windy it was, that must have been brutal.

5h55m

No doubt we'll hear from him when he's recovered. Tuesday at the earliest I reckon...

Great effort and agree with the wind that would have been uber tough.

Fell asleep in the bath... for an hour and a half, pretty chilly when I woke up :)

To be honest and probably because of adrenaline, it was easier than Torridon. Felt well enough at the end for an uphill sprint finish and a arms in the air Cavendish style line crossing :)

The wind and rain on the westerly bits was brutal, at one point riding slightly down hill into it at 7mph, however the easterly bits were 22 plus. And 30 miles of that was on the homestretch so I felt good before the final big hill.

I will be in agony on Tuesday as it takes a bit longer for the pain with me.

Gaz you could do it easily, as could ZZ.
Fred Whitton anyone? :)

Did you end up in a group TK? Would have thought working with others when riding into the wind would have been the way to do it.

Wouldn't mind trying a road event, but my lower back is good for about 40 miles before it explodes.

get yersel well soon Rob. missed ye on sunday but we managed not to get lost and found the bombhole trail as well.

all thanks to mikees simple advice on layout of pitmedden.
