I think the optimal solution is to armour sympathetically existing natural trails and publicize them better. Cheaper than new trail centres too. Get it wrong though, and you end up destroying some nice natural track - this has happened up my way, the Callendar Estate has created a bunch of nice tarmac through the forest which no doubt suits families out for a bimble, but they've lost some nice bits of interesting trail in the process.

An awful lot of the Pentlands could really do with this right now, and I believe Mugdocks is in a bit of a state too.

Yes, a bit through a wood at Mugdock when I was riding with Gaz etc was practically unrideable due to slippy deep mud not helped by our horsey bretheren :roll:

When I first joined Retrobike and attented the first Turkey Twizzler at Cannock I had a 25" Schwinn Mesa Runner. I loved that bike but unfortunately it broke and went to the recycling centre

Always on the look out for a HUGE cheap mtb though. I have several 23 or 22 inch bikes but a 25 is my goal. Ritchey's are too desireable and pricey for me !

Its all relative to your height and inside leg measurement Rado, you could just as easily have a high pitched voice if you had testicular top tube disharmony
