Ah, I thought there was one in Dundee but I didn't know about Pitlochry. I think if I make it to day 7 I'll be tired enough to kip by the side of the main road!

Yeah, the weather's the big concern, but it's so rare that I have time off while the other half is working and I get to do exactly what I want with it, feel like I've got to make an effort or I don't know when the next chance I'll get will be.

I'm OK with it being cold, and I'm OK with it being wet. I'm even OK with it being cold and wet, I can use the youth hostel stops to dry some stuff out. So long as it doesn't snow. I need to look at the elevations on the route to see where's at risk of there being significant white stuff.

Right guys... I need a favour.

Does any of you lot have a small-ish GT RTS or LTS in period spec? And would you be available sometime in the next three months to bring it down to Yorkshire?
I'm trying to put a feature together for a magazine. Its all a little vague at the moment but its in the early planning stages only. If it works out it will be a good day out for you. It has to be quite a small bike because the guy who will be riding it is on the small side. I can't say any more at this stage as things still need to be sorted.

its an 18 but not that big in reality , will need to extract it from storage
and fettle it a bit , since the pic it has the alloy backend on it
the others i have are all 20" ers
my LTS's are all large too
pity there was not more time as i could have brought it to GT tomorrow

Has anyone used 10wt motorcycle fork oil in a set of bombers? I know they're meant to be 7.5wt so would I notice much of a difference?

Alternatively, any recommendations for fork oil in Edinburgh?

Should be ok though its likely to make it compression/rebound a bit sluggishly :?
