Eck, a pair of old skis from a charity shop and bend some metal - fit to BSO and off you go. - would be great on snowy bings.

I've got a horrendous image in my head now of Eck in full nutter mode charging down a bing swatting kids on BMX's out his way.

Without a helmet of course.

am into that , photo opportunity anyone ?

Anyone want to pitch some ideas for some rides for next year? I have a few suggestions, one would be to make sure the GT annual is not on the same weekend as the Fort Bill WC. I was also thinking that the national could be at Ineers next year, Singletrack has 3 routes(varying ability/length) out of Innerleithen, it would take a bit more planning but would add some variety. Could be an overnighter staying at the pods at GT maybe.

Either bounce a few ideas about and I'll try to collate them or discuss the above. I'm getting the feeling though that we suit a few biggies and lots of ad hoc local rides. Agree? What did folks think of this years calender?

Obviously we missed a couple.

It would be great if the national wasn't in August as it's my month where I can't get any time off work. I'm lucky if I get one day in five or six weeks.

I'll see what I can do taz, the national is kinda dictated by the other national events. Any other thoughts on the national date?

Tricky one because of the very good reasons you give. Any time up to the last week of July and any time after the first week of September. But I understand people with families have big summer commitments as well.

I was also going to mention the Scottish weather window but its hardly identifiable these days!

I've said it before but we must have a big meet in Mikee's backyard as the Lommonds and all his other local trails are great riding. Plus the man himself is practically a Retrobike living legend if only for his amazing bike collection
:D

Happy to help with an Inners meet recon as its just down the road a bit from me although K remember the vertical climbing is a killer ;)
