I really can't complain about my Planet X Rado. Light and stiff but comfy at the same time. If I had a niggle the sloping top tube is an aesthetic niggle but that aside its wonderful. Whatever you choose I'd pick carbon for comfort weight and stiffness.

Funnily enough I'd noticed the Litespeed and pointed it out to a colleague, you could also look at Scott CR1's and Canyon's for good value and low weight.

Thanks Kaiser, probably will go for Planet as money is a factor and they are good bikes indeed. Just that Litespeed is really nice. I like that colour block paint job. Scott is a good option too.

that lightspeed is quite nice isn't it, I'm one for the black and white too, my LBS has this frame and forks hanging around tempting me...

He has said he will split it but is selling whole thing just now for £2099 with full ultegra and RS80 wheels. I think it is the 2009 model

Yes, then I'd sell on the frame and forks etc, I still feel it is a little small for me - useable but my back aches after about 10 miles.

Gazelle is a compact frame and 50cm c-t (49 c-c) - (I think it feels smaller though, was meant to be 54 effective which should be ok for me) - the Colnago is a compact 52 (56 effective)

I was tempted to roadie up the Xizang to see what that would be like but I'd loose the rear brake.
