MacRetro chat and rides thread

Cannock is just too far in the questionable weather we're getting this month. Great place to ride though, lots of retro friendly trail, I was at the first Turkey Twizzler. I was married to a Stafford lass though so I could retreat to her pals hoose afterwards whilst visiting the inlaws. Now as a divorcee that options no longer available

If you can be bothered Si its a good meet though it can be VERY muddy

I'll not make it Si, too many family events to attend anything distant at that time of year (5 birthdays + xmas and hogmany from the 21st to the 9th - this is one of the reasons all my kids were born in the summer)

Ok my Irn Brew quaffing chums, next question...

Urban myth AFAIK. Unsupportable economically is the general feeling. All info from numerous singletrack threads mind.

Mother in law (White Witch of Arran) was getting new central heating installed so came to stay with us for a week around 11th November, then the weather happened, heating engineers had to reschedule etc - so she's still here

No point going back until after xmas now

How about a possible ride on the 27th of Dec? Need to shoot it by the fun sheriff but shouldn't be a problem.

Would love to go as I'm slowly recover from my illness but I'll be abroad at this time.

We are having a run out around some classic Purdy routes around Rothbury and Simonside on New Years Eve if you fancy a quick raid over the border. There will be a very warm welcome should you do. Your latest recruit Simonside Resident is leading.
