Weirdo that I am, I've found an even more niche old bicycle site than Retrobike.

http://raleightwenty.webs.com/

I've joined it

Great link - I hae been toying with the idea of getting one of these for some time to pop around the village - shop and pub. I had an RSW as my first proper bike and my mother had one of these which was a lot nicer to ride. I really like the "Daves Custom" version. How difficult is it to open the rear triangle symmetrically?

Easy, best to read Sheldon Browns advice first though. I got a 126mm OLN rear wheel into a Dawes Kingpin I built up as a 10 speed in the past

did you know the dawes kingpin frame bends in the main tube just
above the b/b mount tube if you jump it off a 5 foot high wall ?

my mother was most upset ,so much so that she bought a polish folding
shopper (from womans own i beleive) and told me to keep the dawes
so it got renthals on it and the mudguards fell off

I know if you bunny hop a Czech built CZ shopper off enough kerbs you can fook the brazed forks and longitudonally twist the frame

Curiously my mother wasn't very happy either but then she never rode it

And if you crash an RSW into a Reliant 3 Pin Plug, the Reliant comes off worse!
