Got any pics of your boats then?

Yeah I think I do but their on film but I'll scan them later
and put them up here.

........But they're not bikes :?

:D

Seriously - I've never been kayaking/canoeing in my life, don't fancy drowning much and probably look weird in a rubber suit - but something has started me thinking aboot it recently.. Fortnight ago there was a "round Kerrera" (island just offshore from Oban) sea kayak race starting at the pier in town. That's probably the culprit. That and getting to remote bothies without having to walk, or cycle

Like getting remote places see ....... that's the main driver. Bike. Kayak. Walk. seems like a good combo.

In winter

I've seen a bloke with a Canadian canoe trailered with an mtb, canoe was big enough to take the bike when in the water.

I've got an inflateable open canoe, not much storage space for a real one. It's pretty good apart from drying it out at the end of the day, very stable. Only used it twice this year though :(

This is mine...

Hey Gaz, do you still have those bullmoose bars going spare?

It's that time of year again that I build up Frankenshite into a winter hack. Going for a early 80's look this year.

This acquatic hobby talk is a slippery slope. I've just looked at a bike on eBay and this is what the description starts with:

I've had this racing bike for some time now and it's still in great condition. Mainly due to the fact it's been sat in the garage for some time now.

I no longer require it anymore and it must go to free some room for my new hobby "Kayaking"

Remember that on the sea it is always freezing, and that the logical consquence of any of this is wanting to buy a yacht. Surely you should be going for a dug-out canoe as part of a RetroKayak ethos anyway?

(Speaking as someone who sold his Laser dinghy because the hassle:enjoyment ratio was much greater than 1)
