MacRetro chat and rides thread

Suspect helmet now has rabies after last night's bat strike. Great detour at end of the night to super-fast Glentress blue type trails. High speed hoot!

Shoulder sair, but not too bad. I shall blame my 'race' tyres for my crashes... nothing whatsover to do with my mincery ways and lack of skill. Nevegals going back on.

Looking forward to some more 'West Coast Wednesdays'.

Put all west coast wednesday stuff in its own section please. Result I dont have to read them and be very jealous as I'll not be at a single one :(

As I say, midweek west coast at the mo is a non starter. Currently working 10 hours a day which with my ME leaves me completely knackered post work :(

You guys keep enjoying yourself, I'll keep being jealous ;)

I was in the Big Weege last friday, south of Newton Mearns, didn't realise Pollock was that close to it until I saw it on the satnav.

Watch him TK, I reckon he gets 50p on the lb for them tasty corn-fed 'big-city' mountain bikers... Before you know it you'll be swinging from a butcher's hook in some farmers barn, awaiting the mincer. mmm, 'Special Stuff', Killie style.

Also, GT Wigwammery update:

High Season - 1st March to end of October:

Friday to Sunday. Includes electricity and use of showers.
£45 per night (based on 2 people sharing) + £10 per adult, £8 per child

In High Season - 2 nights minimum stay at weekends.

So £90 for Friday/Sat night, plus £10 per additional person per night.

So 3 smelly RB'ers= £36.67 each. 4= £32.50 each. 5= £30 each.

Oh aye, apparently 'Camping sites also available to hire' too.

I was visiting a friend at their holiday cottage they had rented, the boy that lived there had built his own downhill course and dirt jump ramps throughout the forest, about a mile of tracks with tabletops and drops, his dad helped with the bigger jumps but most of it was him(he was 13) and his sister cutting their route through a pine forest - amazing work and I've never seen a kid his age jump as well as he did, both on a bmx and a specialized big hit.
