MacRetro chat and rides thread

Simonsideresident was on the Prince Albert I think, impressive bike, Kaiser had a go and seemed impressed. Thats a vote for Dialled Bikes

cove handjob m8
my mate rich runs one with a 140 mm fork on it
he loves it

its an ugly looking f***er tho ,so's rich come to mention it
as for GT's i think 140 mm is a bit big for them ,maybee the chucker would
take them but you dont want one of those

the 456 is a good frame tho

Cannot deal with Coves smutty bike names no matter how good the bike, if I owned one I'd have to delogo it.

On-One 456 is a cool frame at a great price but in bikes you get what you pay for and unfortunately Si is right if I want a frame as good as the forks the 456 might not be the way to go :?

Orange Crush I REALLY like
Orange P7 I really like
Cotic BFe I really like
Cotic Soul I like
Pace RC305 I like
Dialled Prince Albert I like
On-One 456 is likeable

OOH the choice is too huge :D :D

Any others available frame only, there must be somewhere......

Suggestions required guys and it concerns modern stuff

Recent visit to GT has pursuaded me that a long travel forked hardtail might be more me than the iDrive. Thus stripping the idrive of its forks and other componentry would allow a build onto a new frame, but what frame, I am prepared to save up as my bike building mojo has dulled at the mo so hitting trails on new machine can wait untill spring.

On-One 456 is an obvious cheap choice but what else is there. Any anecdotal info on handling, plus/negative points etc is useful. I rather like Pace's offerings but they are no cheap.

So please suggest away and yes Mikee a GT hardtail will not be dismissed out of hand as long as its modern and will take a 140mm travel fork ;)

am i reading this right ?    you fancy a shot of my san andreas ? ;)
