MacRetro chat and rides thread

I always thought we were macretro, but when racing we would enter under retrobike:ecurie macretro to promote the site but make it clear who we were.

Of course that all went tits up with our names for 10 under the Ben.

Like the idea of a blog but I'm not fussed about an independent site as such, I like the wider community here.

I guess I'm wondering if theres any way to expand what we're doing just now. Maybe appear more clubby than a forum subsection? I'll add that I'm not pro anything at the moment just seeing if there is a want or need for a bit of change.

I'm guessing because Gaz's proflex is in there along with a few other loved retrobikes, that whyte preston design is bonkers, I like it :)

The Prestons look superb. Only ever seen one once in the flesh down at Glentress from a distance.

The Kona linked by I_Ache looks a bit like your jump bike, although there is some headtube re-inforcement that looks different from yours, so not the same bike? Or is it pic of the Marin DH - looks like it could be the one that Big eck had?

Would it surprise anyone to know that I like all the fugly bikes

Seen several Prestons at GT, one ridden by a complete muppet who did not deserve such a splendid steed

You'd need to get the bike to match though.
