MacRetro chat and rides thread

Today I have mostly been riding loads of great old school single track some of which rivals Drumlanrig only a few miles from my front door :D

Rode it on my SS'd Nishiki Cascade which although a big gate is a sweet ride :D

Calling this circuit of mine 'The Velo Ramble' and would be delighted to guide you round it one day. Great veiws, loads of single track, good workout and pubs/cafes never far away ;)

We really should organise an official ride for your local woods Velo, what I saw of it at the start of the year was excellent. Could possibly do some sort of optional double-header with Glentress to attract the West Coasters and make it really worth the drive?

Are you (or anyone else) up for an East Coast bimble tomorrow? Was thinking Glentress, possibly Pentlands? Would be a late start though - 1-ish as have my daughter tomorrow morning... On the plus side a later start down Glentress means less traffic on the trails :)

Oh aye, good luck the morn Kaiser. *Almost* quite fancied giving it a go looking at the website again... Are you doing long or short version?

you buy the one ofoff here?

looked a bargain

I'd be up for an east coast bimble in the afternoon, not GT though until I get my scoots front tyre replaced as its got somewhat worn with a slow flat

My Velo Ramble only uses the woods at the back of my house as a start point and then climbs up behind Penicuik then passes through Penicuik estate and down esk valley, its a good few miles ;)

Happy with Pentlands or maybe nip across to Blairadam woods in fife, which I can reach by train and a wee bit cycling. Thus we might draw in some of the Fife massive

I await your response ZZ ;)

Velo - we can chuck your bike on the back of the MX-5 and head down to GT, I'm sure the bootlid can take it, only 30 minutes from your hoose... Or if you'd rather no fold yourself up, can always just do a turn around the Pentlands, though I'm thinking it's likely to still be pretty gloopy.
