Hee haw fur me, watchin the bairn then a fly by at an engagement doo tonight. Work tomorrow and a christening after that. Might squeeze a couple of runs in.

1 hour falling off practice today, OS Map and road bike tomorrow

Daughter with me till lunchtime tomorrow, so will probably give the Pentlands a wee go in the afternoon - haven't been up since before the snows in December, and given the temps we've been having last few days, trails should mostly be brick hard rather than a mud fest. Got pretty good directions to the mythical 'Nail Trail', so will go in search and give that a burl.

Technical question- I am struggling to get the rear mech on the prestige to shift down the cassette, goes up fine but sits in the middle of the cassette when I thumbie down and the wire goes floppy (ohh err) this rear mech worked fine on the clocky with the same thumbie so I'm at a loss- It has new cables and outers? don't suppose it's anything to do with it being baltic out there?

Give it a spray and some exercise.

Sounds like the cable, change down to the little cog while stationery so that the cable goes really loose, then take the cable off the stops so that you can move the outer cable up and down. Lub all of the innner cable then re-assemble.
