MacRetro chat and rides thread

+1 for some post ride Dunkeld face filling.

Anyone put a name to the Raleigh below? For the life of me I can't remember. Circa 1979/80-ish I think...

A better, vanished time. Apart from Thatcher, the threat of nuclear war, etc.

Hey troops :D , cracking on with the Clockwork but short of some
bits, looking for some Canti's, idealy black LX but not that fussy,
a pair of Canti brake levers, 28.6 front mech (bottom pull), also a
seatbolt, the old style metal one with the tab on the bolt end to
stop it turning, also a 1" headset spacer (to take up a slight gap
between the threaded headset nuts.

If anyone has these bits and can bring them to Dunkeld that
would be something fantastic in the middle of a big field of
awesomeness

I have some black lx canti's, ss7 levers and might have a xt front mech and spacer Jimi- no seatbolt.

Will dig them out over the weekend, check and do some pic's for you if you like?

Laptop wireless card died a death last night, BAWS. Took me till now to sort myself out, and to think I actually make a living in IT.

Hmmm, I don't think it was an Arena - really annoyed I can't remember, I rode that thing to death, used until I started college. Still got a decent pair of lugs but I think ma heid was playing catch up at that point... I used to be really self conscious about them  Those shorts were grand, thought I was the bees knees.

I've got some spare bits and bobs, I'll get some photoes sorted and post on the MacRetro trading post - I'll bring them up to Dunkeld - we could do the wee swap meet that was originally planned for GT before Christmas.

Quick question guys as I look around the place it looks like Bulls Eye cranks seem to be still prety cool, or am I wrong????
