MacRetro chat and rides thread

Have any of you guys done Kirroughtree? Hearing some good things about it from the locals. They say its very SS friendly as the climbs are short and sharp as opposed to the long slog up and back down of t'other Stanes. Would anyone be up for a run round early in the new year??
 
I've done it and its a toughie, rigid and singlespeed would be a loooong day in the saddle.
 
Quite fancy it myself, I like the idea of no big climbs :) Got talking to a Kirroughtree local at GT earlier in the year, he was fair waxing lyrical.

Red is 17km, black 14. Kaiser, did you do them both?

no sure, thought it was a patriot but I haven't seen the dropouts before. Was there ever any orange copies?

yes done both, I'd say if any 7stane is built for full sus then this is it. Very rocky and bumpy and if your going the highlight is mcmoab which is at the far end of the black.
