MacRetro chat and rides thread

Any bods fancy a wee jaunt to say Blair Adam wood by Kelty, Fife this weekend.
I keep saying I want to go and keep not going which is daft as its relatively easy to get to, right by junction 4 of M9 and near Dunfermline

Meant to be good for old style woodland trails but in a compact area.

Any takers or am I on my own ;)

Me neither, works night out Fri and back to work on Sun

I was planning to take the train to Dunfermline and cycle the last few miles but it seems I cant do earlier than after 11am on Sunday if I do this. Not keen on Scootering across the bridge because of side winds so effectively cant do early doors on Sunday :(

Thus as further info for my Blair Adam Woods plan its from mid day on Saturday or Sunday I'm afraid.

As for it being muddy, well this is Scotland in Winter

Cheers All

No, never did. I returned to Falkirk that day with my mountain biking tail firmly between my legs. The cliff-top ride wasn't singlespeed friendly - Too many steep sections (both up and down) that broke up the ride, it felt like I spent more time walking/scrambling than riding. Good brakes a must, and not convinced that it's retro friendly.

The view is really nice, but it doesn't really flow until the last half mile or so when you begin the descent down towards the road. I'd like to go back with the iDrivel and try it once more, and also spend some time scouting the woods themselves - I'm sure there must be some decent singletrack in there.
