Ah the old mystery man act  just realising you now have a hardrock, rockhopper and stumpjumper. Should make an interesting........something :?

what are the build specs of each? SS , sussied etc?
Hardrock will stay discs and SS (now that I've found the magic ratio). Although if a decent set of sussies appears for sale, I may pop them on, though I've got to say I'm pretty happy now with the carbon fork/fat tyre combo. After the last run with Velo, it's now my Glentress weapon of choice.

Stumpy will be my attempt at a proper fully geared period build. No cantis though, Maguras will be going on for 1-finger loveliness!

Hopper will be SS and will start out as a bitsa, taking the SS drivetrain, etc. from the Stumpy. Not sure how this will end up though, was toying with the idea of of using it as a canal/training bike for the winter with skinny tyres and drops, but I think it'll start out in mountain mode. The frame is possibly too big for me, but I'll only really know when I throw a leg over it in anger.

Interesting Glentress tool  but I guess it suits your strong points. Should be able to power you up as you do and the lack of sus will be good for the more groomed trails, though I'm guessing spooky wood is a bit point and hope.

That was the first time I'd done Spooky rigid - I started out pretty tentative, but I was laughing like a maniac by the time I'd got to the bottom. First time that had happened in a long time. It's definitely the bike I feel most confident riding aggressively on and it just seems to encourage lots of body movement, which is normally something I forget to do. I think because of this I was carrying a decent amount of speed through the corners (for me anyway) and riding lovely and light over the jumps.

I was able to attack the two sections after Spooky and they just seemed to flow really well too. It was one of those great, rare days where everything seemed to come together and for about 20 minutes I felt like a mountain biking god  And then of course I fell over while still clipped in right at the bottom in front of a group of riders...

I;m on the look out for a swap of forks 1999 z3's for anything bouncy really- what you fellas got?

Mikee, The Ken says you've been to a retrobike meet and ridden. If you have we can put you on the Roll Call list and get you a tartan banner. Please confirm or deny.
