MacRetro chat and rides thread

Right guys, our dates for our 3 x 2010 national mtb meets are as follows:-

January 30th at or near Dunkeld

May 15th Ten Under The Ben

October either 23/24th Glentress

The Ken proposed these and I seconded them. This gives us dates to work to so please pencil into your diaries, good turnouts would be appreciated.

These other than 10UTB will be low key much like our usual meets but must be on retro kit and will hopefully attract riders from throughout UK. I and The Ken will probably do any organising that needs done, mainly all you have to do is show up !

Also would be nice if as a group we could try and attend some meets in other areas.

There is no three line whip on attendance, I'd just like us to try and keep HQ happy ;)

All other areas are proposing dates as well dependent on there ability. :)

Cheers All !

Interesting - Fingers crossed for an epic winter wonderland adventure. Next door neighbour goes fishing up there, he reckoned these was some good riding to be had.

Enjoy the Drum tomorrow Gazz, lucky git.

will do zz, thanks. I will do a picture of your famous doppleganger later zz when I get the laptop, maybe you can take the baton and do someone else.

Btw you looked like a 10 year old on Xmas day in the bing photos, you need a big bouncy pretend motorbike.

Aye, I'm definitely beginning to see the appeal. I love the way they just roooooll over everything with that super squishy suspension, although I reckon it does give you a false sense of security (in my case anyway).

Put us NE fellas down for the Glenners trip- we have nothing planned for then so we cross the border.

Dunkeld trip doesn't have to be in exactly the same area as the last one but I am familiar with that part so I don't mind - the long downhill at the end was great fun.... I didn't even mind the singletrack snow walk.

here is the ride report from last year to wet the newer guys appetites...

I would suggest we could go for a bar meal afterwards too as it is payday :) ... it'll make a change to the beans on toast I usually have by the end of January :)
