I like the idea, although the initial navigate yourself over unfamiliar territory to the meeting point ride could get, um, interesting.

Combines the best of all worlds though, Macretro ride, pub, ride with the shandy sippers and finish it off with a Macretro ride back to start point.

I have decided to stay put, babysitters been cancelled to be used when things are more clement.

Weather looks pishtastic up here too, so I've cancelled baby sitter and ' I'm out ' as they say. Although holding out faint hope for Sunday - Glentress a possibility? Probably drains reasonably well being so hilly.

So I shall be retiring to the man cave to finish stripping the paint off the Rockhopper frame. May also dismantle Stumpy in preparation for powdercoating (altough may give it one last run out on Sunday depending on forecast), and fit spiffy forks to the iDrivel.

Anybody else got alternate plans?
