I'll pick you up 10.30-ish tomorrow velo. Should be good.

Had a bit of 69er action today. Ian S turned up to the Dalby/Rally ride out with his crazy drop bar Singular 29er (now with added Rohloff hub), and whilst he wasnae looking I swapped out front wheels and put the 29 wheel in. I quite like it, rolled well over the rough gravel and did not flip-flop as much as I thought it would. Front end was a few inches higher which is good on the back and it didnot look too bad. I did notice some centrifrugal influence at speed but I guess you would get used to it. Might order a cheap wheel to investigate further.

@Velo- the Bunnymen story is a myth. Ian MacCulloch was interviewed after an early gig at which there had been some tension amongst the band members. Mac was concerned that he was starting to get all the attention and his comrades were becoming resentful as everyone was calling him Echo and this suggested that they were just a backing band. Mac made a flippant off the cuff remark that he was just another Bunnyman and Echo was actually the drum machine. The story stuck.
That original drum machine was stolen after a gig in Toxteth. Word is that it was stolen by Pete De Freitas who later that week became their first drummer.

That's twice I have donned my annorak tonight

808 state however did name themselves after a drum machine- I have an anorak to DrS

Bloody getting hot in this coat. 808 state was a sequencer not a drum machine IIRC. Off to check the loft.

EDIT: nah yer right, Roland TR-808 Drum machine. Going to slap it on eBay, got to be worth sommat.
