Gaz, internal rust shouldn't be too bad, coat the inside of the tubes in oil. This will stop it getting worse, damp down the rust particles as well. Scrub down the bottom bracket threads and grease up well so same effect as the oil. You should have no problems provided there are no cracks.

ZigZag, I've got some all metal STX-RC V-brake levers if you want a full set.

Gaz's bike will be fine, most of my bikes have a fine rattle from internal rust but no problems so far :D
 
either that or use some kurust down the tubes and swirl it about.

begs the question, how did the "shite" get in there in the first place- thanks for the words of encourager, very weird as there is pretty much no signs of rust from the outside. Will post some piccies the morra.

Was big eck a happy bunny with his frame ZZ and take it your fine K lucky it was your head you landed on, nothing important. BTW just shows you it is true- that "englishmanfellatype" type took 20 notes for a wee bit of plastic- miserable fecker- hope it rains tonight and his tent falls over :twisted:
