MacRetro chat and rides thread

Oh aye, velo - if you want a run down to meet the NWA (great section name btw, is it just me that thinks old-school rappers whenever I see it), let me know.

I had said I was going to go and I hate backing out of things. Would be good for the MacRetro diplomatic relations too :)

I agree kaiser has a habit!

 When I decided that the retrobikes were for interest and not particularly for riding, well the need to have everyone fulfilling a purpose went out the window. Be wary of going this route

Kaiser, yer hoose has become a retrobike black hole that is sucking in bikes at an exponentially increasing rate. Good luck trying to get those Karakorums past the event horizon.

I feel one of those light-hearted Dr Who episodes coming on...

there is a cupboard that dosen't appear to end and I always find things I never knew I had in it  I'm going to start a list of special priced stuff that I'll bring along to meets.

Baws to CX, pick another race! 'Sir Humphrey' should definitely attend. Gazz, u still planning on going?

Did say I would but need to finesse the gatekeeper on this one as it is an all day event fooking miles away so it is!

like the idea of you opening up your treasure trove kaiser.

do fancy it, let me run it by the fun police tonight.

the LBS came back with the bad news that the mavic crossmax's nipples are seized and as such they would need to rebuild her but for big $ so looks like the yo will have to do without

ZigZag, if your mad/man enough to drive all the way to Southern Cumbria with me riding shotgun, do the ride and come back again all in one trip then OK I'll go and pay a large chunk of the petrol

I had backed out as the pennies were getting tight and the train was no as cheap as I had hoped.

Kaiser, much though the idea of one perfect modern sorted bike is nice, I know that deep down I prefer old bodged affairs, no hope for me

Further map researching suggests to me that I should give you guys a taste of my back yard trails for the festive ride. The Pentlands can be blooming windy and exposed in winter but my trails are all in wooded valleys with sufficient options to test your skills plus a good few pubs and cafe's to choose from and easy parking outside my house. Good brakes and gnarly tyres recommended :D
