ohhhhh mmmmmmm

off to another special forum

mrs S wants to know why I just burst into laughter.

Kaiser, have you thought about BB width to fit those big silly wheels into your frame?? Chainline?? Mmmmmmmmm, not so easy.

Those Surleys are heavy as fook- Gils weighs more than the Klunker.

Aye I think the pugsleys come with a 100mm bottom bracket shell. Might be possible to modify a 3 piece jump crank or summat. Could make it an e stay.....single speed or alfine

Kaiser, for your fat tyre project, I've got an extra long BB square taper axle.
The axle was for an electric bike with 145 OLN dropouts runing a single freewheel. I suspect the point was to allow getting chainline correct for the extra wide rear end. Its been designed for a 68mm BB shell so would allow you to get your chainline easily around that fat tyre. Yours for nowt :D

Could be just the ticket. I'd been looking round SJS and had found a 131mm BB but this sounds better being free  . I've polished up the sugino's BTW look very nice and I'm amazed how light they are. At the moment there still detined for the Yo but not as single speed any more so I'm not sure if the 180 length will be of any benefit. I'll get some pics up as I can upload again.

Hows the Nishiki build BTW?

Hi guys, just met Macretro's newest member James (jimjim2012) last night.
An absolute gentleman with what appears to be a healthy (unhealthy?) fettish for the older bike.
Says he will be up for a scoot aboot the pentlands soon too :D

Thanks again James for the lovely KEFs and hoping to catch a tow off you on a future hack.

Dave.

So, have the brave warriors two of clan MacRetro arrived home safely??

Bloody tough day out over the roots and rocks in pretty horrible weather but really enjoyed the fine company as usual. Warm and dry again and just about to crack open a cold beer to ease the aches and pains.

Thanks for coming along you guys
Si
