The old ex-pro racer at my LBS gave me a great tip for breaking in Brooks saddles. If only I could remember it.

Hitting them with a ball end hammer was one I heard, seems a bit extreme for a saddle. Best way is just to ride lots in the saddle and put up with the pain untill either the saddle or your bum adjusts

Better still buy a better saddle :roll:
