MacRetro chat and rides thread

For the benefit of Mr Panda, this is what has happened to the BSA, my commuter workhorse, ridden by me more than any other bike I own.

Yes the wheels don't match, the rear is 27x1&1/4" steel rimmed and the front 700c x 35mm alloy rimmed. They were what was available and they work fine. Every item on the bike came from the BikeStation including the rather nice Grande Compe centre pull brakes so its been a cheap build :D

Liked it so much I bought another Raleigh frame the same as the BSA except for colour which will get the oldschool 10 speed racer treatment.

Cheers

Velo

Nicely done Si :D reckon your spot on with the mavic stuff too

Nice one V, rather enjoying this new found computer ability of yours :)

Was that the frame you brought back from Arran? If so, top job - it's really cleaned up nice! I thought it was cream coloured, not white

Oh aye, and the Mountain Goat looks alright I suppose ;)

Si that looks amazing, mavic rim and hub was made for the bike and will look very cool all mavic'ed up albeit I never liked the headset to bulky but who cares what I think, you've seen my bikes

the racer looks like a racer so not more I can say velo

and what is this single track that you speak of si?

got the go ahead for a ride wednesday ZZ but with no car will have to be local, now all we need is for this shitty weather to bog off- what time you want to meet up ZZ?

Coolio! Through at yours for 10.30? That'll let me miss the rush hour. If you'd prefer later, no worries, let me know. PM me address, I'll come with moolah for the Stumpie and shall peruse your 'used parts at reasonable prices' emporium - you got a bar that'd fit?

Can always chuck the bikes on the back of MX-5 if you feel the need to roam - I'll bring the SS. Not looking for anything too epic as my right knee's been giving me jip since yesterday.

Well here's hoping the weather improves for ya - i was well and truly bedraggled when i got home this evening
