MacRetro chat and rides thread

Scoot looks plush Velo, I may have to send that pic off to http://www.stuffonbikes.com/ though :)

Those pics making me wish I'd been there today. Got an hour in at the Pentlands before a mechanical stopped play, limped back to the car on impulse power. Fixed bike when I got home, and did another hour up the local woods. Unsatisfying, but better than nothing.

Oooh, aye, I'm still on for Wednesday. Is Kaiser up for it, or is he giving in to his trail center tendencies?

I will confirm that we can ride tomorrow, even if she is at work I'll still be in anyroads but a wee run locally would be fun and I'll put on a good training run- not a trail centre but should be a laugh and different. You up for a run kaiser?

I'll still get back to ya :) though I am more inclined to go somewhere.

How did the goat get on tonight si?

Just did a hundred yards up the road and back as it was late, but yeah its great. Not in its final spec yet as I'm still looking for those Mavic bits but size wise its perfect- plenty of room and lots of standover. It feels very lively and springy, in fact it makes a Yo feel a little dead. Its a little higher than a Fat at the front too which will make it a good all dayer.

Si

DrS is the cull over then?

Pulled the Yo and the Pace and the jury is still out on the Goat. Rest is still up for grabs. Got a load of parts to take pics of and offer up today so keep an eye out.

Very quiet on MacRetro today, you all turned into old bike haters and gone over to SingleTrackMind?

Anyway to try and stem the tide of AntiRetroness here are some Goat pics....

Rear wheel is off the Boulder until I can find a rear hub to build up onto another Mavic 231 rim. Mechs and shifters also need changing for Mavic stuff. decals are on Gil's to-do list when he gets back fom the states at the weekend although I hear he has a broken wrist to bring back with him.

Quite pleased with it. Been for another spin this afternoon. Quite tempted to hang onto it now.

Si, keeping the MacRetro flame burning!

That look's fantastic Si :) , these have really grown on me the last couple of years, they all seem to look huge though, (19" being huge to me  ), this is the first i've seen in my size, i remember the Goat in the MBUK superbike test from BITD but ashamed to admit i spent more time drooling over the Manitou and Funk , love the colour matched forks and stem  , going to look superb with the new decals ;)

Si, you've left your bike under a shelf containing a leaky can of yellow paint

I'm surprised you've just left it to dry like that, a man as perfectionist as you, quite shocking really

No idea how you can enter BOTM with an attitude like that

    Nice Bike !
