On the way home form Inners, I was touting to the chaps about a (christmas ) night out. Nothing major, maybe a mexican or summat and a beer or two in Glasgow. We always seem to run out of chinwag time so idea being we could sit and have a blether/hatch plans etc. Probably early evening or and afternoon giving plenty time for trains home. Any thoughts?
Might be tricky for Non Central Belters re transport etc
(Glasgow - Oban train is 3hrs and full of knobs)
I am drawn to the weekend bothy (roaring fire & some malt etc) idea with a blast around nearby frozen tracks through snowy mountains ........but thats just me
For me Drinking in Glasgow yes, proper boozer mind not trendy spot.
Bothy in frozen hinterland, no way, come winter I avoid the cold as much as possible.
Compromise could be a toon with regular train connections closer to the frozen north but I dont know where :?
Mr P the bothy weekend that was going to be on the 31st of Oct and the 1st of Nov looks to be on hold if you wanted to put something together for that weekend?

Finished screwing the Hardock back together again with the skinny XC Pros courtesy of Gazz and the brand spanky carbon forks.
Don't like the stupid decals, but they're under the lacquer so not a lot I can do about it. Note the canti mounts for when I'm feeling rash
Anyway, run up the Pentlands this afternoon. Nice to be single speeding again, but it took me about an hour to get into the groove with it. The narrow tyres make it a fair bit more lively, skids on demand, but they are really controllable and the tyres grip well for their size. It's been a while since I've ridden rigid, but no mishaps and I really enjoyed it, the second run down Maiden's Cleugh had me grinning like a maniac.
Good day, and a few more miles under my belt for Kielder. Was surprised when I felt the beginnings of a blister coming up on my right hand though  HTFU no doubt.
